Tuscany is a world wide famous italian region, and in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence, Siena and Arezzo, there is the Chianti - a hilly area fascinating for its diversity, not least among them the famous city is included and the excellent wine production.
The geographic standpoint of Chianti is a medium to high ground that extends for almost twenty kilometres (with trend roughly north-south-southeast). Chianti is deemed to include the territories of all three "Legacy" that those Florentine San Casciano and Tavarnelle in Val di Pesa, Greve, and part Barberino Val d'Elsa, Castelnuovo Berardenga, as well as those of Siena and Poggibonsi. Only wines produced in these municipalities may use the name "Chianti Classico" and are marked by the famous label Gallo Nero
The Chianti
Across the sweet hills, the silver-green of the olive trees, the screw geometry of the roads highlighted by cypress trees, the yellow broom to the limits of the woods is so beautiful and harmonious that you feel like driving in a pain…. This is enough to entice anyone to know this area, indeed the ideal tour of Tuscany should start from his heart, just the Chianti, and then extend to other more famous villages that surround it, to better understand them.
The roads in Chianti are good today and fortunately did not invite the streets to speed, but to enjoy the scenery in a series of ups and downs.
From Florence is an excellent starting point the highway 222. From Siena take the Chiantigiana Vecchia and avoiding the road to Florence. Castles, villages and small towns, farmhouses, churches, Renaissance villas, often hidden by woods and valleys, built in stone emerged as the natural elements of the landscape.
The best is to stop at the smaller towns and discover the unknown Chianti or "Chiantishire" for the large number of foreigners that are permanently living. We mention the Badia a Passignano, beautiful and ancient seat of the League of Chianti, easily accessible from the highway Firenze-Siena; the tiny hamlet of Volpaia, such a suggestive village that you'd think as a movie set; the historical centre of Motespertoli and Monteriggioni.

Here, more than anywhere, you can recognize the superb furnished apartments, the well kept blossoming garden and all the little particularities that make your stay special.
