Castiglione della Pescaia is one of the most beautiful medieval villages along the coast of Tuscany, located about 20 km from Grosseto.
Castiglione della Pescaia is now a major tourist center and a fully equipped resort with beautiful beaches and clean sea, and repeatedly awarded by Legambiente by Touring Club. The old medieval town is situated on a hill overlooking the river Bruna. In the historical center is really well preserved, and several buildings, such as the eighteenth-century Church of Santa Maria del Giglio, built into a bastion of the medieval walls, and the sixteenth-century Church of St. John the Baptist, who has portal to architrave, a bas-relief and early medieval has a distinctive circular tower to tower, are certainly remarkable. Just outside the town is located on the eighteenth-century Red House to visit the Nature Reserve of Diaccia Botrona, last remnant of the vast marshes that once covered the Maremma, along the road from Marina di Grosseto, Castiglione is interesting Pineta Tombolo that stretches over 10 km along the coast.

Location: Roccastrada (Grosseto). Since I arrived in Il Poggiarello, I have been impressed from the attention of the well kept garden. This agriturismo is also a new Wine estate in Tuscany, called Muralia. Chiara e Stefano, the young owner, will guest you in their marvellous house as friends most than a guest. Apartments are bright, clean and spacious. The swimming pool is wonderful as the garden that surround the estate. I really suggest you to have a day (or more) of Wine tasting. Wine lovers will enjoy a tour of the Sangiovese grape Vineyards and a tour of Muralia, the exclusive estate’s wine cellar. There are 10 apartments from 2 to 6+2 guests. All bright and well furnished. Large and equipped swimming pool. The nearest beach is about 25 minute by car. Great location!

Nice pool and a beautiful garden makes the difference.
