The foundation of Segesta is lost in prehistory, as it is earlier than the Phoenician and Greek colonization. Virgil gives the Trojan Aeneas and the Trojan would have been the source of the mysterious people of the Elimi, who lived there.
The temple, built on a rocky terrace probably the last three decades of the fifth century BC is one of the most perfect examples of Doric architecture. Elegant and important, however, lacks the traditional "cell in the God," which suggests an adaptation of the temple creche to the needs of local cults. A few feet above the temple on top of Mount Barbaro, is the scene: a semicircle of 60 meters in diameter with a gradinatada where you can enjoy the view over the valley.

Selinunte

Selinunte is the Europe's largest  Archaeological Park, with 270 hectares of culture and history yet to be discovered.
The uniqueness of Selinunte is given by the large amount of its ruins, by their size and their quality, all of which together is difficult to trace in other parts of the western world. Since 1993 he established the Archaeological Park, 270 hectares large. The ruins of the city in the territory of the town of Castelvetrano, in the southern province of Trapani. All the land in question form now an archaeological park on the size of approx. 40 hectares.

Tenuta Stoccatello - Menfi (Trapani)

Menfi (Sicily). In this area devoted to wine is the Tenuta Stoccatello, a characteristic Agriturismo born from an old building from the 18th century on a panoramic hill. I visited Tenuta Stoccatello in May, it was 25 degrees and after parking my car I waited for someone to host me, but there was no one. So, I stayed on a terrace overlooking the coast, admiring the breathless panorama on the sea and the blue sky of Sicily. I went to the restaurant and the crew was ready to enjoy the lunch: Nicoletta, Giuseppe, Nicolò e Natalina. As soon as I introduced myself as a Tour Operator, I found myself sitting at the table with everyone. In Tenuta Staccatello there is a real familiar and happy atmosphere, a large and nice swimming pool and excellent food served at the restaurant (I guarantee!) Just 10 kilometres from the white sandy beach of Porto Palo there is an excellent point to start and visit this beautiful area of Sicily: Selinunte the biggest Archaeological park of Europe, Sgesta, Erice, and Agrigento are reachable in less than 1 hour. Also enjoy your time following one of the cook courses held by Giuseppe or a wine tour in the Cantine Barbera.

Tettoia - Marsala, Trapani

Blue like the sea, yellow as the sun and blue as the sky. All colors of Sicily are used in this delightful cottages in Marsala,  just 30 meters away from a wide sandy beach! For a couple or a family with children that love the sea and are looking for a week of relaxation under the sun (even if the sofa bed in the living room can accommodate two adults).
