The Villa Romana del Casale is a late Roman villa whose ruins are located near Piazza Armerina in Sicily. The mosaics, with such a unique, richness and a variety, make the Villa Romana del Casale a priceless gem in the history of art. Indeed since 1997 is part of UNESCO World Heritage Site.??Many of the halls of residence have figured in the floor mosaic colored tiles. The stylistic differences between the mosaics are very evident. This, however, does not necessarily indicate a performance in different times, but probably different workers, which mediate Syriac heritage and trends using various Alexandrian "pattern book".

When I entered the bid doorway it seemed to me that I had already been in Masseria Mandrascate. Maybe a few memories from a movie set in Sicily: the sweet countryside atmosphere, lazy, warm and bright. Masseria Mandrascate is an example of how the architect can give back life to an old building. There are five rooms, some really big, others over two floors, derived from the old stables. All the accommodations come with kitchenette, sofa bed, air conditioning and heating. A real suite furnished with family furniture, in shades of beige and ecru. Mandrascate is located only 15 km from the wonderful mosaics of Villa Romana del Casale di Piazza Armerina.
