Lazio is the region placed exactly in the centre of Italy; the capital of the region is Roma, one of most visited cities worldwide. But Lazio is not only Roma, also the surrounding is worthy to visit and spend some days of relaxation along the sweet hills where middle age villages and many castles have kept intact their ancient architecture.
Examples are Tivoli, Bracciano, Castelgandolfo, Civita di Bagnoregio, Sperlonga and Calcata, famous for its hippie’s community. Lazio has also an archipelago of islands with Ventotene and Ponza as jewels.
